Virgie Lasswell, 62, of Shelbina, died at 5 a.m. Feb. 4, 1999, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lasswell will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbina. The Rev. Jim Bilbro will officiate. Burial will be at Shelbina Cemetery.
Mrs. Lasswell was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Colony, Knox County, to Donald C. and Jessie Lillian Gardner Golden.
She was married to Carl Lasswell on March 10, 1962, in Colony. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Wyaconda; and two brothers, John Golden of Knox City and Mark Golden of Kirksvillle.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Lasswell was a member of Shelbina Christian Church and Eastern Star No. 159. She was a 1955 graduate of LaBelle High School and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill. She worked at Canton State Bank, Bank of Monticello, Community State Bank in Shelbina, Macon REA and Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Pete Greening, John Baymiller, Donnie Golden, Bill Moore, Charles Dodd and Bob Vickers.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
